Price the envelope you will use

Measure the finished part, nesting margins, hold-downs, camera or registration needs, object height and long-stock motion. Paying for a larger bed is defensible only when the catalog or batch layout uses it.

Pass-through and conveyor capability need their own space and control plan. A feature that changes the system to Class 4 changes more than material length.

Add cooling, exhaust and electrical work

Identify built-in liquid cooling, external pump or chiller, or an air-cooled RF architecture from the exact manual. Add coolant, ambient-temperature controls, maintenance and replacement reserve without improvising a generic cooling design.

Price the documented outdoor exhaust or suitable filtration path, ducting, make-up-air and professional electrical work required by the machine and local setting. Optical watts are not facility input.

Compare like-for-like bundles

Add air assist, honeycomb or slats, riser, rotary, conveyor, purifier, software, computer, delivery, lift equipment, tax or duties, installation, training and first consumables. Remove anything genuinely included to avoid double counting.

Record warranty region, tube coverage, support method and likely service shipping. A cheaper machine can carry a higher ownership cost if required controls, parts or downtime are omitted.

Who should postpone the purchase

Postpone when the acrylic or wood construction is unknown, the delivery route is unmeasured, cooling or exhaust remains unresolved, the system class does not fit the space, or the business case relies on unvalidated throughput.

A CO₂ cutter is not the default tool for direct bare-metal marking. If metal marking is the core job, compare fiber or MOPA instead of funding workarounds.
