What xTool P3 does better

P3 documents an 80 W CO₂ source and a 915 × 458 mm work area, versus 65 W and 600 × 400 mm for Reno65. Its work area is about 75% larger by area, and the documented manual workflow can accept taller objects. Multiple cameras, LiDAR focus, AutoLift and built-in active cooling create a more automated configuration.

The current standalone configuration is documented as Class 1. That is a meaningful control advantage over Reno's Class 4 status, but it does not remove extraction, fire, material or supervision duties. Adding P3's conveyor changes the system to Class 4.

What Reno65 Pro Vision does better

Reno65's $2,749.99 US machine-only presale price was $4,249.01 below P3's $6,999 standalone price when checked on 3 Sep 2026. Its 600 × 400 mm area remains substantial, and the current manual lists LightBurn Pro, AutoLaser and TopWisdom App support.

At about 1,000 × 690 × 285 mm and roughly 40–41 kg in conflicting official records, Reno is materially smaller and lighter than the 105 kg P3. Its current manual also lists lower machine input, although complete electrical planning must include the external pump described by that manual.

Limitations of P3

Official xTool sources conflict between 1,400 W maximum and 1,700 W input, and between 780 and 808 mm machine depth. Use the larger depth for conservative route planning and verify the nameplate/electrical requirement for the exact SKU.

Standalone price does not include every optional rotary, conveyor or filtration component. Current reviewed evidence lists xTool Studio but did not establish P3 LightBurn support. Do not turn the vendor's maximum speed into expected signs or jobs per hour.

Limitations of Reno65 Pro Vision

The current product title says built-in water cooling, while the August 2026 manual requires an included external 3,000 L/h pump, external reservoir or optional chiller. Obtain the actual shipped cooling configuration in writing before purchase.

Reno's manual and product metadata classify it as Class 4. Official sources also conflict on weight, pass-through width and some resolution claims. The presale shipping date can move, and the general warranty policy does not cleanly name the 65 W category.

Who should choose each—or neither

Choose P3 when larger panels, taller items and automated placement materially improve a defined workflow, and the shop can support its price, route, weight and xTool Studio process. Choose Reno when 600 × 400 mm is enough, LightBurn matters, and a competent Class 4 installation plus written cooling confirmation are acceptable.

Choose neither for direct bare-metal marking as the primary job, unidentified stock, inadequate exhaust or fire controls, no controlled Class 4 area where required, or a delivery/electrical plan that remains unresolved.
